Ashton Held, owner and lead planner, had her second child in January of 2023 and had a career shift after selling her bridal salon. Emerald is the birth stone of her first daughter, representing new beginnings. Elm is the birth tree of her second daughter, with a meaning of being deeply rooted in her faith in Jesus. Emerald & Elm Events was born! We are a Full service event planning company. With a love of weddings and a passion for hospitality, wedding planning and coordinating just made sense. We have a strong desire to help brides bring their vision to life, and make the wedding planning process feel smooth and relaxed.

Hi! I am the Lead planner and coordinator for Emerald & Elm Events! As an enneagram two, I love to serve others, especially my couples. I graduated from NC State University with a degree in Fashion Design! With an eye for color and creativity, I love to bring a bride's vision to life. While Weddings are my career, I have a hope and a desire for this to be the beginning of a lifetime of happiness for my couples! When I am not at a wedding, you can find me with a baby on my hip and is chasing my toddler and chickens.
